Calvert County Offers Election Day Public Transportation

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Nov. 5, 2018 – The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners announces public transportation services will be available Tuesday, Nov. 6, for Election Day.

Public buses will run on a regular schedule and along regular routes. However, bus routes do not include all polling places. Riders are encouraged to call Calvert County public transportation or go online to determine whether their polling places are accessible through county bus service.

Election Day bus service will include transportation for seniors age 60 and up and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) customers. These services offer curb-to-curb transportation by appointment only.

While county transportation services typically did not operate during past elections, service will be available for Tuesday, Nov. 6 due to heightened interest.
