Commemorating the freedom of those who, with the help of the British, fled slavery during the War of 1812.
The daylong celebration includes:
- A Walking Tour
- Speakers
- Entertainment
- Food Vendor
- Exhibits at the Historic Lower Marlboro United Methodist Church and the Lower Marlboro Hall
- Kayak tours on the Patuxent 11:30am – 1:00 pm & 2-3:30 pm
- (Kayak Tour for ages 12 and up 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.)
