Michael Kent will present a lecture based on his manuscript, Mulatto, the Black History of Calvert County. The manuscript spans his family’s presence here in Calvert from 1780 through the Civil Rights movement of the 1960’s.
This talk will encompass a portion of the slave era and the formation of churches and schools after slavery. Co-sponsored by the Bayside History Museum.
