This event is jointly hosted by the judges of the Circuit Court of Calvert County and the Harriet Elizabeth Brown Commemoration Task Force.

All are invited – community leaders, former students of Ms. Brown, her colleagues, educators, today’s students, donors to the Harriet Elizabeth Brown Commemoration Fund, members of our legal and faith communities, and citizens who simply want to learn more about Calvert County history. We urge you to arrive around 1:00 p.m., before the formal program begins at 1:30 p.m., to network with old friends and to make new ones. [Also, please feel free to share the attached flyer widely.]

This event marks implementation of the third and final recommendation of the Harriet Elizabeth Brown Commemoration Task Force. The new Harriet Elizabeth Brown Community Center is already up and running, and a portion of Maryland Route 2 is now officially designated as the Harriet Elizabeth Brown Memorial Parkway.
